Job Description

At Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research (NIBR), the Global NIBR Learning team partners with our scientists to bring innovative learning solutions to NIBR that build the capabilities needed to support our strategy to bring medicines to patients. NIBR Learning is seeking a Cambridge, MA based Global Learning Partner to contribute to this overall mission. Through their deep knowledge and understanding of Learning and Development within Pharmaceutical Drug Development, the Global Learning Partner will identify gaps at NIBR and partner with our leaders and business stakeholders to build the learning strategy, solutions, and implementation plan for complex NIBR wide and/or function wide programs.
What you will be doing:
  • Effectively establish, deepen, and sustain key relationships with stakeholders to understand business needs, priorities, and performance gaps. Demonstrate an understanding of drug development processes, knowledge, and skills in order to provide appropriate learning solutions.
  • Determine data required to measure business impact, how data will be collected and analysed in order to demonstrate the value and impact.
  • Determine required behaviours, skills and knowledge needed by different roles.
  • In partnership with business leaders, build global strategic learning plan for area through consulting on capability needs. Collaborate with stakeholders to define desired performance outcomes. Analyse all requests, and identify priorities that are aligned with strategic priorities, leadership, and key stakeholders.
  • Thoroughly understand learning methodologies in order to provide options for appropriate learning interventions
  • Directly responsible for driving stakeholder satisfaction by delivering the best customer experience, quality of learning solutions, learner experience and positive impact to the business.
This role is based out of Cambridge, MA and is a #hybrid working model.

Minimum Requirements
What you’ll bring to the role:
  • Education (minimum/desirable): Learning and Pharma-business related scientific (MS, MD or PhD) or equivalent experience
  • Experience in shaping and managing multiple projects at the same time
  • Languages: Fluent in written and spoken English, other languages an advantage
  • Demonstrated track record of collaboration/partnership
  • Pro-active, entrepreneurial approach to recognizing needs and anticipating issues and solving problems
  • 5+ Years’ experience leading diverse (Cultural, Geographical) project teams with stretch targets and tight timelines.
  • Experience: 10+ years Clinical, Pharmaceutical or Medical Device experience with deep understanding of Drug Development functions; or 5+ Years working in a customer facing role, ideally with an agency providing services into the Pharma/ Medical Device industry. 7+ Years Knowledge of adult education theory and practice.
  • Demonstrated strong project management and project leadership experience, including managing people, teams, and vendors

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between: $183,200.00 and $274,800.00 USD per year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/23 through 12/31/23, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
