Job Description

Our world is transforming, and PTC is leading the way. Our software brings the physical and digital worlds together, enabling companies to improve operations, create better products, and empower people in all aspects of their business.

Our people make all the difference in our success. Today, we are a global team of nearly 7,000 and our main objective is to create opportunities for our team members to explore, learn, and grow – all while seeing their ideas come to life and celebrating the differences that make us who we are and the work we do possible.

The Global Mobility team is integral in supporting PTC's worldwide business operations. We manage global immigration as well as company-sponsored employee relocations/assignments and related matters. In this role, you will be working for a company that has been voted one of The Boston Globe’s Top Places to Work for two years in a row and, as part of the People Team, will work alongside professionals who are knowledgeable, supportive, and passionate about what they do!

The Global Immigration Specialist is responsible for ensuring that PTC meets all legal requirements for our employees to travel and work globally. This will involve managing immigrant and non-immigrant visa petitions and international work permits. You will partner with PTC’s immigration law firm to evaluate and develop case strategy. In addition, the person in this role will partner closely with the Global Mobility team on global transfers and assignments.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with many departments including Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Compensation, Finance and Benefits. If you want to utilize your immigration experience to make an impact in the lives of employees and their families then this role may be for you.

Day-To-Day:

  • Distribute communications to HR, Talent Acquisition, employees and/or managers on immigration updates as needed.
  • Participate in other projects within Global Benefits and Compensation or support broader objectives of the People Team.
  • Partner with the company’s external immigration law firm to ensure all renewals/extensions are processed timely and that employees maintain valid immigration status.
  • Ensure providers are delivering expected service levels.
  • Respond to internal and external audits.
  • Assist with HR technology implementations to ensure immigration and compliance needs are met.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for all global immigration matters including initiations and extensions of US non-immigrant and immigrant visas (H1B, L-1, TN, F-1, O-1, PERM, I-140, etc.) and international work permits.
  • Maintain a global view of PTC’s global immigration program volumes and costs.
  • Work with the immigration law firm to enhance global immigration reporting capabilities.
  • Coordinate and manage LCA postings and ensure Public Access Files are fully compliant.
  • Provide guidance to employees, managers and HR business partners regarding the benefits, risks, and probability for success prior to determining case strategy.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of international work permits, NIV and IV visa processes.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management and clearly articulate immigration matters to key stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects and work in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Knowledge of I-9 regulations is a plus.

Preferred Experience:

  • Working knowledge of Workday and/or ServiceNow or similar platforms
  • Minimum of three years US and/or global immigration experience
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience; Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
