Role Title: Global Category Manager

Role Type: Full-time – Hybrid

Location: Houston, TX

RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to)

·Conduct auctions and sourcing events as necessary, including RFI/RFQ/RFP processes.

·Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to generate quotations for engineering projects.

·Identify, assess, and onboard new suppliers in conjunction with various business functions such as Engineering, Sales, Production, and Procurement.

·Evaluate potential suppliers, ensuring adherence to client requirements, standards, and quality controls.

·Perform supplier analysis and coordinate the supplier qualification process with minimal supervision.

·Negotiate with suppliers to achieve quality, delivery, and cost objectives.

·Devise and implement sourcing strategies to align with overall business goals and gain a competitive edge for the company.

·Conduct supplier performance reviews based on client standards for quality, delivery, service, and cost.

·Carry out vendor management reviews to ensure compliance with key supplier requirements.

·Update and maintain agreements while reviewing optimal strategies for the future.

·Evaluate and recommend purchasing and sourcing decisions to management.

·Maintain preferred sources/suppliers within the ERP software.

·Support the development, review, and enhancement of processes, procedures, and guidelines to optimize existing practices.

·Assist with other tasks as necessary within the client teams.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

·Bachelor’s Degree

·SAP Ariba experience a plus.
