Job Description

Perch Rock, the industry leader in providing real estate investment opportunities, is seeking a compelling General Sales Manager - Acquisitions to work at its headquarters in Cheshire, CT.

The Sales Manager - Acquisitions will get to work in a professional, high-energy, and friendly environment. This position will play a vital role as part of the leadership team to help the company grow to achieve the long-term vision of systematically trading 1,000 houses a year.

Below is a first-person description of the type of person we are looking for:

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • Out-of-the-box thinking, with a passion for problem-solving
  • Formal leadership training preferred
  • Expertise in leading teams through a constantly evolving environment
  • Strong understanding of salesmanship as a craft
  • Steady track record of increasing an organization’s monthly revenue due to sales strategies implemented with a sales team
  • Ability to lead, develop, and inspire a sales team to improve their craft to ensure that a high professional standard is achieved and monthly sales targets are met
  • Prior proven experience as a sales professional is beneficial, as it will help you lead our team
  • Strong work ethic by being a motivated individual who is focused on self-development in leadership and sales

Compensation:

$125,000-$165,000 a year

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and inspire the sales team through actions and words, and maintain an environment that attracts, motivates, and inspires personnel to live by our Core Values.
  • Assesses, evaluates, and puts programs into place to increase the quality of sales
  • Assists with the development of performance standards, measurements, and corrective devices through which approved plans and goals are accomplished within the sales organization.
  • Assists with reporting; prepares reporting for leadership strategy meetings
  • Holds accountability sessions with sales professionals regarding KPI performance
  • Monitors and ensures creative and methodologically sound sales programs, proper use of sales materials and tools, and overall sales program compliance.
  • Executes activities to reach sales and revenue objectives.
  • Embody our core values and help spread the company culture through actions and policy implementation
  • Conducts initial and ongoing training of sales professionals, conducts evaluations and coaching, conducts side-by-side visits to assist with development.
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with company sales policies
  • Analyzes and assesses training needs to identify gaps and recommend skill-gap training solutions; consults with management to ensure that training programs are current and aligned with business needs and goals.
  • Bring high energy to the sales floor to drive desired business results
  • Directs the activities of assigned sales professionals; responsible for coaching, development, performance, and direct agent management.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS & ABILITIES FOR POSITION:

  • Ability to be self-directed and a self-starter with an entrepreneurial, hands-on approach
  • Ability to perform business mathematics
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders, agents, and customers
  • A team player with excellent communications skills with all levels of management
  • Significant and proven experience in building and maintaining best in class inside sales teams
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Prior formal leadership training preferred
  • Experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting business data/reports
  • This is a salaried full-time position with participation in our company bonus and commissions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • B2C experience preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree a plus or equivalent experience
