General Manager Jobs

Fuse Metal is seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to oversee the overall operations and strategic direction of the business. The General Manager will be responsible for leading a team of professionals, ensuring operational efficiency, driving growth, and maintaining our position as a premier custom metal fabrication company.

This position is located onsite at our corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility in Eugene, OR.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Leadership and Strategy

• Set clear expectations, communicate effectively, and motivate employees to achieve individual and team targets.
• Develop and execute the company’s strategic vision in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
• Provide strong leadership to a multidisciplinary team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Business Development and Sales

• Identify new business opportunities, cultivate strategic partnerships, and expand the customer base to drive revenue growth.
• Manage the Fuse Metal sales team.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop marketing campaigns.
• Foster strong customer relationships, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction.

Engineering Management

• Ensure compliance with quality standards, and industry best practices.
• Oversee all aspects of the engineering team.
• Streamline processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement best practices to optimize efficiency and productivity.

Financial Management

• Analyze financial data, prepare accurate reports, and make data-driven decisions to drive profitability.
• Evaluate pricing strategies, vendor contracts, and negotiate favorable terms to maximize profitability.
• Develop and manage the annual budget, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-control measures.

Team Development

• Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation.
• Train, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of professionals across various departments.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of metal fabrication processes, industry trends, and quality standards, including previous engineering experience.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with relevant software and technology used in metal fabrication and general business operations, ie: CAD/CAM 3-D Modeling
• 5+ years of experience in the metal fabrication industry
• Proficient in financial analysis, budgeting, and cost control.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field.
• Strong business acumen with a track record of driving operational excellence and achieving financial targets.
• Experience in business development, sales, and customer relationship management.
