General Maintenance (#021623) Lee Correctional Inst, Bishopville (Lee) Level 3

Job Responsibilities

• Determine requirement for general maintenance and repair supplies and equipment
• Provide assistance in carpentry, masonry, drywall, painting, welding, fabrication, maintenance and repair program.
• Develop general maintenance and repair program throughout the facility.
• Respond to emergency calls and maintenance repair calls and assure work is promptly and properly performed.
• Travel to different institutions as support to assist with projects and maintenance as needed.
• Prepare justification and requisitions for all supplies and equipment.
• Supervise and complete general maintenance, construction and renovation projects for all the facilities.

Must successfully complete eight (8) week SCDC Basic Training upon hire

Minimum And Additional Requirements
State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and trade experience directly related to the area of employment.
SCDC Minimum Requirements: (Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources)

• Two (2) years experience in general maintenance and repair.
• A high school diploma.
