Game Level Designer Jobs

Are you an experienced Level Designer with a deep love for indie games? Project Daruma is on the lookout for a talented and passionate individual to join our creative team. If you have a knack for crafting immersive and engaging gameplay experiences, this opportunity is perfect for you!

As a Level Designer at Project Daruma, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the worlds players will explore. You'll collaborate closely with our creative team, programmers, and designers to breathe life into our unique and captivating game environments.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with programmers to ensure the technical feasibility and optimal performance of level designs.
• Collaborate with the art team to ensure seamless integration of gameplay and visuals, creating stunning and immersive worlds.
• Iterate and refine level designs based on playtesting and feedback.
• Implement gameplay systems and mechanics to enhance player experiences.
• Design and create compelling, handcrafted levels that align with our game's vision and mechanics.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of game design principles, player psychology, and narrative integration.
• Proven experience as a Level Designer in the game development space.
• A genuine passion for indie games and an eagerness to contribute to our studio's unique creative vision.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to thrive in a collaborative and dynamic indie studio environment.
• Proficiency in level design tools and Unreal Engine 5

Nice To Have:

• Experience with Blueprints and/or the understanding of Gameplay Ability System (GAS)
• Experience producing levels using Unreal’s World Partition and OFPA
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence and Perforce
• Experience with other aspects of game development such as 3D modeling, texturing, particles, game design, animation, etc.
• Experience with designing levels for competitive multiplayer games
