Job Description
THE POSITION

The Department of Human Services, Norristown State Hospital, provides dedicated, high-quality care to the people who call Norristown State Hospital home. We are seeking a hard-working, enthusiastic, compassionate, and caring Forensic Social Worker who is committed to providing exceptional care to our patients. Apply today to join our team!


DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Forensic Social Worker 1, you will be responsible for the completion of Biopsychosocial Assessments, participates in developing, coordinating and facilitating treatment plan, in conjunction with other clinical treatment team members. You will consult with multi-disciplinary team on services, review reports, assist with admissions and coordinate discharges on assigned units.

  • Overtime and Travel: As needed.

  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

  • Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
  • Full-time employment.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • A bachelor's or master’s degree in social work or social welfare.
Other Requirements:
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:
  • A conditional offer of employment will require satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening test.
