Reporting to the Director, On Premise, you will manage the relationship with our foodservice distribution network and oversee foodservice sales across several distributors. Your main priorities include owning distribution and volume goals within the region and developing premium brand execution in channel according to national strategy. Main responsibilities include: communicating priorities, implementing sales programs with foodservice distributors, expanding distribution, creating annual business plans, tracking results and metric execution, and maintaining a partnership with the On Premise organization.
DISTIBUTOR MANAGEMENT
- Directly train and support distributor sales team to succeed on sales programs, blitzes, and goals
- Manage optimum pricing according to channel-specific pricing strategy set from HQSG
- Develop processes and communication practices with distribution management to achieve Red Bull goals through their sales team
- Establish an annual business plan with distributors based on the priorities and goals from Headquarter Sales Group (HQSG)
- Grow foodservice volume in designated region through management of broadline distributors
- Create and share best practices that can be replicated by our foodservice team across the country
DISTRIBUTOR STRUCTURE EXPERT
- Integrate programming with distributor incentive structures to improve attention and execution for Red Bull
- Identify and secure important chain operators with distributors
- Identify and navigate hierarchy, systems, and important personnel within each distributor location including Account Executives, District Sales Managers, and Distributor Sales Representatives
- Engage each distributor’s leadership team through Director and VP level
INFLUENCING
- Work in field with team and lead Non-Commercial Account Managers in respective Region to develop programs, relationships, and collaboration internally and with distributor field personnel
- Develop relationship with On Premise Distributor Managers to lead distributor capabilities across channels
BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE
- Forecast volume per distributor location according to national volume goals set by HQSG
- Manage metrics on a monthly basis and meets with teams to review results and plan
- Maintain working knowledge of important Red Bull systems for product and POS delivery, result reporting, and market management
SALES TOOLS
- Create value for both Red Bull and retail outlets by using appropriate brand assets
- Use internal field marketing team for coordinated consumer collecting efforts
- Implement premium programming that creates consumer engagement with the product
- Use all sales tools provided to help us create maximum brand presence in accounts
- Establish visibility in accounts using point of sale marketing to increase consumer awareness
Qualifications
- 5+ years of sales experience in FMCG industry, foodservice preferred
- Must be fluent in English, additional language skills an advantage
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
- Valid Driver’s License
- Experience working with suppliers (Broadline, FMCG) and distributors
- Experience developing successful sales and trade marketing strategies
- Negotiation experience
