Job Summary:
Consultants are seasoned, subject matter experts who apply specialized knowledge, typically as individual contributors, in primarily assisting senior and executive management in matters that require special interpretation or expertise.
You will be part of a focused team inside the PIO whose role is to support the implementation of risk mitigation strategies from the Planning phase through successful Closure and Lessons Learned throughout the PIO/Claims. You will work with cross functional teams and your role will spill into other areas of the company through support and coordination of larger projects.
Essential Functions:
The essential functions listed represent the major duties of this role, additional duties may be assigned.
- Serve as subject matter expert and mentor others.
- Advise management on options, opportunities, risks, solutions, cost versus benefits and impacts on business processes, systems, employees, etc. Influence and gain acceptance of ideas and suggestions.
- Maintain frequent contact with internal and external business partners to obtain and share information for influencing decisions, selling concepts, and/or providing advice and counsel that impacts business decisions and objectives.
- Participate on and/or lead critical or complex initiatives and projects.
- Lead the design and development of complex tools, systems, processes, programs, etc. that directly impact business decisions and objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Executive level communication.
- Cross-functional collaboration and unblocking.
- Track progress of projects and ensure all milestones and timelines are met, quickly identifying and escalating any risks to meeting these milestones and timelines.
- Stakeholder engagement in a remote environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at various stages at one time from Planning to Ops Readiness/Implementation.
- Develop, maintain, and revise all project materials.
- Ability to Lead/Facilitate Core teams to obtain schedule, issues, risk, and dependency updates.
- Ensure complex projects are delivered on time and in scope, and in alignment with organizational processes.
- Use best practices and promote excellence every stage of the project life cycle.
Required Work Experience:
6+ years related work experience or equivalent combination of transferable experience and education.
Required Education:
Related Bachelor’s degree or additional related equivalent work experience
