A Typical Day:
The role of the Loan Officer is to assist existing customers from our Servicing Portfolio telephonically with their current and future mortgage needs. Each licensed Loan Officer is provided inbound/outbound leads to service in accordance with Pennymac policies, procedures and lending guidelines. You will recieve daily inbound calls. We also have exciting products like Home Equity Loans. Compensation for the Loan Officer role is directly tied to performance. The average estimated salary plus incentives for this position is $175,000 to $250,000.

The Loan Officer will:
  • Emphasize benefits of Pennymac’s offers and advantages to highlight how they are beneficial to the customer’s needs and provide appropriate rebuttal options as applicable
  • Assist applicants through the loan application process including reviewing disclosures and loan documents
  • Recommend loan solutions to customers to improve their overall financial position
  • Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values
  • Manage pipeline activities while meeting production goals, compliance requirements and company guidelines in adherence with lending regulations
  • Identify current customer needs and provide guidance for product solutions
  • Provide a “Best in Class” experience to every caller to represent the organization’s culture and values
  • Handle high volume of inbound/outbound calls to assist existing Pennymac customers as well as new customers
  • Advise and educate customers on home-buying or refinance processes
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
What You’ll Bring:
  • Must have current UST License
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and sound judgment skills
  • Team player, works well with others and willing to assist peers
  • Ability to multi-task, work in a fast paced environment while navigating through different system applications and software
  • Great sense of responsibility and organization
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • 3+ years of origination and lending experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Compensation: Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience as defined below:
  • Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role
  • Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the role
  • Mid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role

Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and/or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.
