The Farm Service Agency in Mt. Pleasant is looking for qualified applicants to fill the position of aFull-Time, Farm Loan Officer Trainee.

Applicants should have a knowledge of farming operations and practices of agricultural production and management and have exceptional organizational and customer service skills. This developmental position provides support and assistance to the Farm Loan Manager, assisting with loan disbursement and closings as well as loan monitoring, general loan servicing, and various other lending activities.

Applicants will receive training in financial analysis and evaluation of financial information and other factors that affect loan decisions. Applicants will learn to advise and assist farm loan customers to coordinate loan making and loan servicing activities, apply credit principles and procedures sufficient to perform basic analysis of credit risks, consider various approaches to marketing strategies, and to assess the feasibility of granting loans or graduating a borrower to other credit sources.
