General Summary

The Senior Training Manager provides the tools and skills necessary to implement the Fleet Training processes for all Private Fleet employees. Aligning with Fleet Directors, Training and Development teams, and HR in developing training programs, including creating curricula, and developing instructors. Leads Training Managers on achieving department goals.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Obtain and review training evaluations to assess content relevance and instructor effectiveness.
• Establish and monitor comprehensive documentation and retention plan for all training delivered through training platforms or imaging.
• Coordinates training of new processes and new technologies in conjunction with Remedial Training Plans.
• Identify and assess current and future training needs for drivers, trainers and safety supervisors supporting growth and development and enhanced safety culture.
• Redesigns and monitors the new hire orientation process with focus on continuous improvement of the onboarding experience.
• Evaluate training programs to ensure they comply with FMCSA requirements, Dollar General policies, and industry standards.
• Partner with Learning Operations Management to develop & implement standard operating procedures, safety regulations and other related written guidelines.

• Ability to use personal computer for tracking and updating safety and training programs.

Work Experience &/or Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Logistics preferred with a minimum of 6 years relevant work experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 6+ years of Transportation Safety and Training experience required
• Experience in managing and leading others required
