About the CFO Team:
The CFO organization is responsible for Planning & Performance analysis, legal entity reporting, financial control and analytics, capital and risk metric reporting. The CFO organization is also involved in strategic reviews, product profitability analyses and cost investigation.
DWS is interviewing candidates for a Finance Business Advisory Manager within the CFO organization supporting the Illiquid Investments (Alternatives) business unit, based in New York, and working closely with colleagues across the globe.
The Finance Business Advisory team is accountable for providing financial advice, insight and guidance as it relates to the financial wellbeing of the supported business, in conjunction with DWS’s objectives. The Illiquid Investments division is primarily comprised of Private Real Estate, Liquid Real Assets, Infrastructure, and Private Equity businesses.
Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for performance reporting of Alternatives products for marketing and sales material, including:
  • Compiling individual fund performance returns
  • Summarizing recent real estate transactions
  • Tracking real estate funds by property location and asset type
  • Undertake a wide range of analyses using, but not limited to, financial data to derive meaningful insights improving DWS’, regional or divisional profitability
  • Assist in preparation of monthly revenue, expense and FTE forecast for presentation to Illiquid investments asset class business leaders
  • Monitor and forecast dry powder and DWS’ co-investment positions
  • Consolidate financial data to build the quarterly Illiquid Investments business forecast and present to business leaders
Your Skills & Experience:
  • Pro-active and ability to work independently
  • Effective storyboarding skills and ability to crystallize problems and summarize key issues and challenges
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience working within a role that requires analyses at a micro and macro level
  • Experience with P&L production and P&L driver analyses, preferably in the Alternative Asset Management industry
  • Strong understanding of financial data analysis and business performance metrics
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Must be detail-oriented and have an analytical mindset with the ability to deliver key insights
  • Positive attitude and a team player
  • Knowledge of private investment vehicles would be a strong plus

Expectations:
It is DWS’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the firm’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $92,000 to $140,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
