Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Marketing Specialist to join our Marketing Team. The Marketing Specialist is responsible for driving brand awareness and trial with our consumers through the execution of local marketing strategies. The Marketing Specialist will also work collaboratively with our Planning and Execution Manager to develop and execute in-store marketing initiatives as well as out-of-store initiatives including online and social marketing and branding campaigns. This is a remote role reporting directly to the Manager of Planning & Execution. The Marketing Specialist may also assist in other markets as needed.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate key performance metrics and identify efficiencies, areas of development and ongoing strategies for achievement of market goals, with an emphasis on increasing brand awareness, trial, and sales.
• Assist Planning and Execution Manager in developing a detailed field marketing playbook for the company which will be leveraged in other markets.
• Identify field marketing opportunities to drive awareness and sales.
• Assist Planning and Execution Manager with social and online advertising efforts.
• Roll up your sleeves and problem-solve when issues arise.
• Learn the brand vision, brand values, and product of the company and product concept.
• Execute in-store marketing and branding opportunities on store-by-store basis including sampling, promotions, and other activities/events.

Profile and Skills

• 1-3 years of field marketing experience with experience in retail, CPG, food, hospitality, preferred.
• Outgoing personality and excited to engage consumers in-store to promote the brand and drive trial.
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and work within ambiguity.
• Ability to travel using your own vehicle (mileage reimbursed). Valid driver’s license required.
• Scrappy problem solver that can work through issues effectively in a dynamic startup environment.
• Exhibit a high sense of urgency, be well organized, have a growth mindset, be a team player and have the ability to build strong working relationships with all stakeholders.
• Travel to multiple locations or markets as required. Work on weekends may be required but not the norm.
