Job Description
Summary You will serve as an Executive Assistant in the Office of the Commanding Officer of AEGIS TECHREP. This is a RE-ADVERTISEMENT of Announcement Number: ST-11951007-23-RGM. Applicants that have previously applied NEED to re-apply to this announcement. Responsibilities You will serve as Executive Assistant to the Commanding Officer (CO) and Senior Leadership Team (SLT). You will be responsible for providing executive level administrative support, office management, and coordination of all administrative management actions and activities of the organization as part of the Corporate Operations (Ops) Directorate. You will serve as the principle administrative executive assistant to the Commanding Officer and principle administrative assistant to the Deputy and Technical Director. You will manage the CO and SLT calendar with complete commitment authority for scheduling. You will review a variety of correspondence from all sources for the CO or Senior Leadership's signature. You will recommend the establishment of and prepares office administrative policies and procedures for implementation. You will assist in review and analysis of administrative directives and policies issued by the Department of the Navy (DON), other elements of the Department of Defense (DoD) and private industry. You will as necessary, discusses pertinent issues with operating personnel to determine the effect on present operations. You will recommend, and upon approval, complete revised policies and procedures for implementation. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience that includes one year to the next lower pay band, NH-01 (or GS-04 equivalency) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing administrative tasks for an organization. (e.g,. familiar with Navy Command structure, military protocol and courtesies, Microsoft Office and DoD provided software, Executive level calendar scheduling and management, Navy Correspondence Management, Standard Subject Identification Code use, serialization and control and retention of correspondence, Scheduling, coordinating and hosting official command events that include; Elected Government Officials, Flag Officers, Foreign Dignitaries, and other high ranking officials.) Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Education may be substituted for specialized experience for the NH-02 as follows: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position: Have successfully completed a four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. -OR- Have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent. This hiring activity, within Naval Sea System Command (NAVSEA), has converted to the Acquisition Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) which is an alternate personnel system. This position has a control point; thus, the salary range for this position is capped at GS-11, step 05 which is currently equivalent to $85,943.00.
