Equity Data Analyst Jobs

What you'll do:

• Collaborate with Investment Analysts, Portfolio Managers, and internal technology specialists to develop and deploy innovative tools that enhance the investment process, portfolio construction, and risk management for sector investment teams.

• Utilize fundamental equity data to optimize modeling and investment research.

• Analyze and evaluate research data to create integrated business analyses

• Create informative, actionable, and repeatable reports that highlight relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement.

• Build customized analyses and data visualizations that incorporate both internal and external data sources.

• Develop a strategic vision for future technology initiatives.

• Assist in new hire onboarding by developing coverage plans, designing infrastructure, and providing tool training.

• Conduct due diligence on buy-side technology offerings and establish relationships with niche vendors.

Requirements:

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in finance, statistics, engineering, and/or computer science.

• Possess strong written, oral communication, and project management skills.

• Be capable of managing multiple tasks and thriving in a fast-paced team environment.

• Demonstrate excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with a keen attention to detail.

• Possess a passion for fundamental analysis and investing in public markets.

• Have a deep understanding of financial accounting, equity valuation, and statistics.

• Display advanced proficiency in Excel/Data Visualization – including built-in functions, aggregation, lookups, and creating dashboards – as well as Tableau.

• Python (pandas) required

• Possess proficiency in SQL, VBA, or data analysis.
