Position Overview
Key Relationships
Reports to: Healthcare PM
Other Key Relationships: SFM Investment Professionals, Risk, Trade Support and IT
Major Responsibilities
- Create and maintain company financial models
- Participate in due diligence on potential investments including company fundamentals, industry backdrop, market considerations, and catalysts (i.e scientific and clinical trial data, earnings, corporate events)
- Analyze news and events, attend industry and scientific conferences, conduct expert due diligence
- Assist in evaluating and underwriting investment opportunities in the Healthcare portfolio, with subsector focus based on the analyst’s expertise
- Collaborate on disciplined investment committee process and related materials
Requirements
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and expeditiously
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to conduct research independently, identify and assess key opportunities and risks, and summarize results
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Ability to work effectively with a team
- 5+ years of relevant experience within the Financial Services Industry. Some combination of investment banking including industry, equity research, and buy side analyst experience preferred
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Hiring multiple analysts. For therapeutics-focused analyst(s), understanding of science/medicine is necessary; advanced science degree in medicine, biology, or pharmacology (MD, PhD, PharmD, Masters) is a plus. For non-therapeutics analyst(s), industry knowledge/expertise is necessary

Anticipated Salary Range
We anticipate the base salary for this role will be in the range of $150k – $200k
In addition to a base salary, the successful candidate will also be eligible to receive a discretionary year-end bonus, as well as other benefits.
