Position: Analyst, Equity Derivatives Quant, Global Analytics & Financial Engineering (GAFE)
Purpose:
Contributes to the overall success of the Global Analytics and Financial Engineering ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are compliant with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Accountabilities:
- Be proactive; with the business (ask questions, provide regular updates), other teams and vendors.
- Help the front office to deliver solid financial results by partnering with the Equity Derivatives business to provide efficient daily quantitative support and build robust pricing and hedging tools for fast response to client’s pricing requests.
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
- Contribute to the development, refactoring and maintenance of valuation and data solutions for Equity Derivatives products, and ensures their soundness, integrity and the implementation feasibility. In particular, the candidate should be able to become proficient in developing front office tools and models aimed at facilitating issuance, valuation, booking and servicing of equity linked structured notes.
- Aim to become a trusted partner, go-to person and to provide subject matter expertise to the business and other product stakeholders such as risk management, audit, product control and technology groups during and post the implementation
- Contribute to the design and implementation of a front office analytic platform for market data management and pricing using our in-house quantitative library, third party libraries and vendor solutions.
- Introduce up-to-date technology stacks to the bank and implement operational efficiencies that save time, money and resources.
- Write robust, readable and reusable python code. Perform necessary tests, work with development environments and follow release guidelines whenever working on production systems.
- Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.
Requirements:
- 0-3 years of experience.
- Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline.
- Strong Python skills, familiarity with SQL and VBA recommenced. Knowledge of C++ and other standard languages and platforms is a plus; ability to organize, maintain and link in-house and vendor libraries and packages.
- Good communication skills
- Basic knowledge of principles and methods for valuation of financial products.
