Job Description
Summary


Under the direction of the Administrator:


  • Responsible for the safety, security, and overall maintenance of equipment, facilities, and grounds
  • Plans, organizes, develops, implements, and supports maintenance programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc.
  • Ensures all OSHA, fire safety, and other regulatory standards are followed at all times
  • Works closely with Human Resources (HR) in overseeing the successful recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and scheduling of maintenance personnel
  • Conducts quality assurance (QA) audits related to safety, preventive maintenance, and regulatory standards
  • Prioritizes work projects based on resident and employee safety & security, working closely with outside contractors (as needed) to ensure timely and efficient job completion


Qualifications / Requirements


  • Must possess knowledge of building codes and safety regulations and standards, including but not limited to: fire safety, electrical, plumbing, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) design, installation, maintenance, and operation, as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing maintenance functions in a long-term care (LTC) environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a maintenance department (preferably in a supervisory capacity); working knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, etc., as well as various mechanical, electrical, carpentry, and plumbing systems
  • Must be self-motivated, possessing organization and time-management skills in order to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Per the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), COVID-19 vaccination is required, with exceptions for medical and religious accommodations when reasonable
  • Must be a minimum of twenty-one (21) years of age
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills specific to the English language


Additional Information


Shift: 8a-4, Flex Scheduling; approx. forty (40) hours/wk


Wage Range: $20.00/hr-$25.00/hr, Negotiable (DOE)
