Entry Level Electrical Engineer I

Amentum has an exciting opportunity in Hypersonics and Strategic Missions Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) for the Naval Surface Warfare Center at Crane located in Indiana!

The selected candidate will perform a variety of engineering assignments in planning and overseeing research, development, design, manufacture, test, installation, operation, and maintenance of electronic equipment and systems and generally as a member of a design, analysis, or review team.

Position Responsibilities:

• Support to Systems Engineering Technical Reviews and Model Based Systems Engineering on complex programs.
• Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.
• Support functional engineering system development, engineering analysis, and modeling.
• Direct interface and liaison with customers at all levels from quotation to final design and test activities, design reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications.
• Prepare, deliver, and submit technical presentations for in process design and review meetings.
• Generate sections of design specifications of more complex projects or complete specifications of less complex projects.

Minimum Requirements

• Ability to obtain an active Secret Clearance
• 0-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance
• Experience with hardware conceptualization, design engineering, and rapid prototyping.
• Experience with CAD
• Experience with hypersonics, undersea sensors, advanced materials, and strategic missions systems.
• Experience in modeling and simulation, experimental design, or product development.
