AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer to be based in Germantown, MD
This position is expected to begin in September 2023_
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Performing construction oversight
• Finding opportunities to bring innovation to the operations using data science, data analytics, and artificial intelligence.
• Prepare engineering reports and memoranda
• Performing geotechnical tasks and working closely with other disciplines to meet the project needs, under the supervision of senior engineers
• Adhere to AECOM safety culture and maintain a safe work environment
• Performing design calculations for pavements, shallow and deep foundations, tunnel components, retaining walls, temporary and permanent support of excavation
• Travelling for projects domestically and internationally for one week to a month at a time.
• Assigning and reviewing data from geotechnical laboratory testing
• Performing settlement analysis, ground improvement analyses, slope stability analyses, seepage analyses,
• Assist the geophysics group in data collection during geophysical surveys
• Oversight of subsurface investigation programs.
• Participating in local professional events to represent AECOM

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree In Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related field
+ Due to the nature of work, US Citizenship is required
+ Valid Driver's License and ability to pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review.
