Engineer Plan Check - Associate/Civil/Senior

• This position may work a 5/40, 9/80, or 4/10 schedule.

Civil Engineer, Senior - Plan Check

• Depending on assignment:
  • Registration as a California Professional Engineer, Architect, Certified Engineering Geologist, or a Licensed Geotechnical Engineer, or equivalent.
  • Possession of or ability to obtain an ICC “Building Plans Examiner” certificate within six months of appointment.
• Possession of or ability to obtain an ICC “Building Plans Examiner” certificate within six months of appointment.
• Education: Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in civil engineering, structural engineering, or architecture.
• Experience: Four years of experience checking building plans and/or multi-phased structural designs.
• Registration as a California Professional Engineer, Architect, Certified Engineering Geologist, or a Licensed Geotechnical Engineer, or equivalent.
• License or Certificate: Due to the performance of some field duties, which require the operation of a personal or City vehicle, a valid and appropriate California driver’s license and an acceptable driving record are required.
