Civil Engineer Jobs

An industry-leading Engineering and Surveying client is looking for a Civil Engineer to join their team in Santa Clarita, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Keeps abreast of new developments and methods affecting execution of assigned engineering tasks. Attends training workshops and seminars to expand knowledge in all areas of engineering.
• May coordinate the work of entry-level engineers, drafters and administrative staff who assist in specific assignments.
• Conducts or coordinates detailed phases of the design work on small projects or portions of larger projects.
• Assists in preparing work plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Performs QA QC on assigned tasks. Reviews, checks, and corrects errors on all work p prior to submittal to supervisor.
• Assists in developing solutions to unusual or complex design requirements
• Evaluates, selects, and applies standard practices and techniques to conventional projects with few complex features.

Requirements

• Demonstrates proficiency in the operation of CADD, engineering, and office software.
• Demonstrated competence in applying graphic standards, techniques, and principles to specific plans.
• Demonstrated proficiency in QA QC processes and application to projects
• Requires a BSc degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four year college
• Has developed effective interpersonal skills and can communicate clearly both in writing and verbal.
• Has a demonstrated proficiency in the understanding and application of mathematics and engineering principles and theory to projects.
• Two to five years experience in all aspects of design for land development projects. Has developed good working knowledge of several computerized design and drafting techniques
• Preference will be given to candidates with E.I.T. who are taking steps to prepare for the R.C.E. examination
