Junior Civil Engineer Jobs

The AssistantEngineer (a Junior Engineer role) will work on various civil infrastructure projects.Under the supervision of other Engineers, this personwill perform engineering analysis and design on small- to medium-sized projects and tasks. Must live in San Diego area (in person position)

The Assistant Engineer must have the following qualifications:

oB.S. Degree in Civil Engineering (From an accredited college in the United States)

oUp to 1 year of Civil Design experience (this can be from internships, co-op programs, or paid work experience)

oSolid written and verbal communication skills

oAbility to work well in a team-oriented environment

oExperienced with AutoCAD Civil 3D

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Preparation of engineering calculations and designs
• Review of construction phase submittals
• Development of engineering drawings and specifications
• Stormwater hydrology reports
• Assists Senior Civil Engineers in managing design tasks
• Strong problem solving skills
• Utility layout
• Drafting(utilizing Civil 3D)
• Office and Field Work
• Works in a team setting
• Meets client quality, schedule, and budget expectations
• Stormwater pollution prevention plans
• Preparation of field/office reports
