Inviting applications for the role of Employee Relations Manager - Human Resources
As an experienced Employee Relations Manager, you will assist in the establishment of an employee relations unit within the NAM region. You will offer strategic solutions to provide suitable interventions while also serving as a resource/consultant in tactical and strategic approaches for internal investigations. Your role will be to investigate employee relations matters which varies in the level of complexity. You will also assist with advising and consulting with internal teams on complex and critical ER issues, policies, practices, and programs; this will include liaising with internal teams including Front Line Managers, HR, and Legal counsel.
You will provide counselling and support to managers and employees in dealing with the day-to-day issues in the work environment related to employee relations, legal compliance, performance management, coaching, and change management.
Key responsibilities:
- Your role will also require you to partner with the VHR team to conduct investigations and guide the team on investigations that they are currently handling.
- A key requirement of your role will be the establishment of and maintenance of processes including case management, tracking of metrics regarding trends and patterns of discipline - including volume and case type and the follow up development of interventions to support the elimination of reoccurring issues.
- You will assist in the establishment of an employee relations process across a matrix organizational structure which involved several key stakeholders including HR and Legal teams.
- You will assist in training investigators on how to conduct effective investigations as well as proactively recommend best practices to improve the investigations process.
- You will be required to advise and train front line managers, and HR support teams in best employee relations practices and strategies for managing front line manager issues and associated employee grievances.
- You will closely partner with our Virtual HR team to determine what requires an investigation vs consultation, and what cross functional partners need to be involved.

- Ability to manage issues that are sensitive, time bound and highly confidential
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Thorough and detail orientated with the capability to effectively summarize and communicate investigation results.
- Strong people skills with proven capability to work effectively and collaborate across several teams including all business units, HR and Legal.
- Capability to influence change through a matrix leadership structure to solicit change and potentially decrease the number of workplace grievances
- Capability to manage a demanding, agile work environment with responsiveness and timeliness
Qualifications Required:
- Strong collaborator with an interest in working and partnering with highly collaborative and supportive peer group
- Deep employee relations experience and resilience to navigate ambiguous situations is critical
- Preferred relevant BS/BA in the field of Human Resources or relevant experience in an ER role preferably in a large multicultural global matrixed organization
- Proven capability to work autonomously and independently with a sense of urgency
