The Florida Sheriffs Risk Management Fund (FSRMF) seeks a mid-level candidate for the position of Employee Benefits Account Executive. The Employee Benefits Account Executive is responsible for managing an assigned book of business, which is comprised of current and potential Members. This position reports to the Chief of Employee Benefits.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Clearly establishes and communicates timelines with the members and internal team and keeps all parties apprised of changes and renewal updates.
- Maintains a full understanding of the insurance markets, funding alternatives, networks, and benefit plan options.
- Oversees the on-boarding of new member offices by working collaboratively with the account management team to establish the implementation plan, timeline and monitors the success of the project in terms of scope, timeliness, and member satisfaction.
- Demonstrates strategic thinking and innovation based on insurance, market, carrier, and product knowledge, to help guide the current and potential members through the complexities of health care and employee benefits.
- Develops positive business relationships with Sheriff’s offices and their Constitutional offices throughout Florida both new and existing, to ensure continued growth of the program.
Requirements
- Ability to travel is required
- Valid driver's license
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in account management / service / consultation of employee benefits in an agency, insurance carrier, PEO or similar
- Florida 2-15 Life & Health License

- The candidate offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
- This is an in-house position with FSRMF located in Tallahassee, FL; it is not a telecommute position.
- This position requires the ability to travel frequently throughout the State of Florida.
