Job Description
Job Summary and Primary Responsibilities
  • Performs engineering analysis; conducts testing and data analysis on a variety of problems to ensure product functionality and reliability
  • Translates product requirements into complex circuitry and systems designs
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Collaborates with vendors and procurement team to specify, purchase and oversees fabrication of prototypes and pilot runs
  • Administers and implements design changes to bring the product to the regulated medical device market
  • Documents, implements, integrates and verifies testing of designs
  • Develops, documents, and releases protocol test processes and procedures based on test results
  • Develops specifications of components, circuits and systems
  • Develops engineering solutions in a mixed analog/digital environment including amplifiers, FPGAs and embedded microcontrollers

Required Skills / Capabilities
  • Highly skilled in developing, testing, and debugging digital and analog circuits and systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skill
  • Experience with CAD software (Altium preferred, Orcad), simulation (e.g. LTspice ) and Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and efficiently
  • Previous experience with medical device design
  • Skilled in implementing and analyzing electronic and embedded solutions including ability to perform electronic design calculations

Education and Experience
  • Typically requires a minimum of 4 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 2 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience
  • Experience designing and developing embedded systems for electromechanical medical devices
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline preferred
