As our Diverse Recruiting Program Manager, you will report into People and Culture (P&C) with a dotted line to the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) leadership. You will execute short, medium, and long-term initiatives across the St Louis Fed to advance diversity, equity and inclusion recruiting priorities, objectives, and goals.
You will lead the diverse recruiting strategy implementation, which includes launching talent accelerator pilot programs, managing the selection process for diverse recruiting programs and sourcing candidates for roles across the Bank. You will have a blend of recruiting and program management responsibilities in executing the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis’ diverse recruiting strategy to attract world class, diverse talent and drive the hiring and retaining a highly skilled workforce. You will partner with business line managers to design and implement recruiting strategies in support of business plans, Bank culture and diversity recruiting. And you will contribute DEI and P&C’s strategic objectives and partnership goals.
Success in this role is measured by implementation of the diversity recruiting strategy, execution of talent accelerator programs, and cultivation of a diverse talent pipeline.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as a driving force in supporting the Bank’s culture of diversity & inclusion through external relationship building, national diversity events, and local talent development partnerships.
  • Communicate with management regarding status and potential risks of the overall program, workstreams, and individual projects. This will also include collaboration with the communication team, change management professionals, and auditors, as needed.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects at any given time and provide timely, accurate, management information on the status of efforts.
  • Build and launch a diversity recruiting program focused on retaining early talent and converting interns into full-time employees.
  • Understand federal, state, and local government protocol related to people management.
  • Consult with business lines on passive talent sourcing strategies, expectations, timelines, deliverables, and other components of the recruiting/hiring process.
  • Co-manage a Summer Internship Program to drive a robust diverse entry level pipeline into the Bank. Program includes Bank Leader presentations, skill building events, division informational sessions, mentors, and a culminating BIE Capstone Project. Explore opportunities to convert interns into full-time employees.
  • Utilize various technologies to attract and source talent, ensure accurate applicant tracking and data management, and manage critical metrics.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador by representing the Bank at external diversity networking events, campus job fairs, on social media and through sourcing events, as necessary.
  • Maintain a pipeline of top talent and actively work to improve the pipeline and availability of diverse talent.
  • Partner with other divisions at the Bank on related diverse talent accelerators
  • Co-manage, in partnership with Economic Education, the Student Board of Directors’ Program; an ongoing, year-round OMWI initiative providing financial literacy education and professional development to a cohort of 18-20 high school seniors resulting in students being hired as summer interns.
Qualifications
  • Strong business acumen and experience preparing executive-level presentations and briefings
  • Preference for a proven ability to successfully implement DEI initiatives, for example, diversity recruiting, employee professional development, leadership programs, retention practices, mentor/sponsor programs, educational training series, or employee resource group involvement.
  • Experience developing and managing programs/projects and possesses ability to use metrics to monitor performance and inform actions.
  • B.A., B.S. or other baccalaureate/undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Passion for building diverse, equitable, and inclusive teams and ability to collaborate with diverse teams and leaders at all levels and across organizations, in a combined virtual and in-person environment.
  • Proven track record managing relationships and ability to collaborate and build relationships with key stakeholders across functional and various geographical locations.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships while also performing as a flexible, dependable self-starter capable of gathering information quickly and applying it to projects.
  • Travel (10%).
  • Exceptional communication, diplomacy, and collaboration skills.
  • 7+ years of related experience.
  • This role is on-site with some flexibility for work from home.
  • Dynamic written and spoken communicator who can convey complex information to groups at various levels, of varying sizes, and with different affinities.
