Job Description
The Senior Recruiting Manager will report to the Clinical Recruiting Director and will play a pivotal role within a high-performing Talent team whose main objective is to recruit the best talent in the marketplace. This position will be responsible for full lifecycle recruiting supporting Physician and Provider recruitment across; Evernorth Direct Heath, Evernorth Care Group, US Markets, Alegis, MDLive and eviCore.
The Senior Recruiting Manager will lead a large-scale team of seasoned recruiters, driving the development and implementation of talent acquisition strategies and best practices. This role has the opportunity to partner deeply with the business and solve complex problems; taking a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
This position will lead a large diverse team of recruiters, providing situational coaching; managing all aspects of performance management to ensure individual and team goals align with broader HR and Cigna strategies and objectives Collaborate closely with HR partners and hiring managers/leaders across the US to plan and execute appropriate recruitment strategies and action plans to secure top talent, reduce turnover and meet strategic workforce planning needs.
Consult with client managers to establish relationships and create mutually beneficial partnerships, gathering information from them and their HR partners to react appropriately to staff current openings and proactively plan for future talent needs, with a heavy focus on forecasting.
Develop and maintain network of contacts to understand geographic market and industry forces, translating qualitative and quantitative data into actionable candidate identification strategies that build slates of diverse potential candidates.
Constantly evaluate overall service delivery portfolio to ensure a robust sourcing strategy; a positive and ever improving customer-centric candidate and stakeholder experience; an assessment and selection process aligned with the needs of the role, the business and our culture; and a transition to an onboarding program that enables the effective assimilation of new hires.
Provide advice and counsel to business about legal requirements, recruitment policies, and practices associated with hiring top talent.
Educate all leaders interviewing, the role of competencies in achieving success, and the use of competency–based questions in interviewing and assessing candidates. Gain agreement on attraction, screening, and selection processes and the approach for presenting positive, balanced, and accurate attributes of the position, the function, and the business to provide candidates with a rewarding interview and candidate experience.
Role model exceptional recruiting by directly managing a small REQ load in alignment with critical hires, leadership positions and when needed to balance capacity on team; responsible for the full recruiting lifecycle.
Ensure consistency in how we market and position Cigna, working to evolve our online and visual standards for advertisement and communications in support of establishing the company as a premiere employer.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Adeptness with ambiguity and decisive when confronted with complex and difficult issues, operating with a customer-centric mindset and using metrics to measure success.
Strong business acumen with a track record of developing relationships with internal business and HR partners to establish strategies, influence without authority and create shared engagement and responsibility for talent attraction, assessment, and acquisition.
Experience developing recruitment strategies, processes and related policies, with time spent developing these for aggressive growth businesses preferred.
Excellent project management and planning skills required.
Proven skills and experience in full-cycle Talent Acquisition management especially for professional and executive, preferably across multiple functions and/or position types.
Seasoned recruiter, with prior executive recruitment experience is preferred in both full lifecycle and firm management.
Cross-cultural sensitivity and an ability to execute the talent strategy in a manner that demonstrates our commitment to inclusion & diversity and customer-centricity in the marketplace.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with related platform experience and the ability to present to a wide range of audiences.
Strong relationship management skills with the confidence, energy and poise to work with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in current recruiting and HR-related technologies with an understanding of emerging solutions that may be leveraged to reach desired outcomes.
Strong HR analytics capability with a demonstrated understanding of how data translates to influencing business decisions.
Candidate Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in a complex Talent/Recruiting function (Clinical experience preferred.)
Must have prior relevant management experience directly leading large diverse teams of seasoned professionals.
Track record of flawless execution with superb organizational and follow up skills; strong ability to prioritize multiple priorities in a fast paced, deadline-oriented, high-demand environment with tight deliverables
Ability to work successfully in an environment with high visibility and the ability to manage complex and sensitive situations independently
Experience working with high-level executives and teams
Sound judgment and discretion
Expert knowledge and track record working with data and excel; ability to use data to drive outcomes
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
