About The Role
The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Coordinator provides project and reporting support for DEI programs under the direction of the DEI Manager. While in this role we want you to find meaningful avenues to support employee engagement, education and communications to implement program goals. You can connect, hear what isn't being said, and demonstrate compassion to find a successful, inclusive path forward.
You will report to the Manager, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. This is a hybrid role. You will work part of the time in the Tempe office and part of the time work-from-home/remote.
The base pay for this role is: $25.96 - $34.07 per hour. You are also eligible for employee benefits and monthly vacation accrual up to 10 days per year.
Responsibilities
  • Gather and perform analysis on current DEI trends and best practices, benchmarking, need assessments, focus groups, surveys; conduct research and prepare reports on other DEI priorities; collaborate with the DEI Manager and makes recommendations for ERGs, comms, and other DEI engagements.
  • Participate in continued DEI trainings and certifications for ongoing development.
  • Support development, reporting, and forecast of metrics for DEI program and activities.
  • Help with the administrative task and the implementation of different DEI projects not limited to employee resource groups (ERGs), training, coordinating and facilitating DEI conversations and rap sessions, DEI programming and communications of cultural celebrations and other diversity calendar events and assistance with strategic internal and external communications.
  • Respond to internal inquiries about DEI base on standard practices and defined policies.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of communications, marketing, and/or branding experience
  • Project management skills to manage a campaign/program/event from creation through execution
  • You have writing, editing and storytelling skills – engaging with diverse audiences gained through internal or external communications experience
  • 1+ year of experience in a diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) role
Bonus points
  • 2+ Experience conducting research and data analysis.
  • 2+ years' work experience with college degree
  • Presentation experience with PowerPoint and visual storytelling
  • Understanding of the issues surrounding access, equity, diversity, inclusion, implicit bias and institutional racism
  • 2+ Experience in event planning, or campus recruiting
  • Familiarity with Google suite
  • Familiar with excel and experienced in translating data into meaningful visualizations

Pay Transparency
Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
