Title: Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Project Manager Consultant
Period of Service: Current projects through June 30, 2024 with option for renewal
Hours/Week: Flexible—range ~15-35 hours/week
JJRconsulting (JJR) is a diverse, woman-owned and led public sector management consulting firm committed to advancing equity and racial justice in all aspects of our work.We seek a skilled project manager who is passionate, committed and experienced in developing and applying a diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) principles to a broad range of projects.
Position Overview
The DEIB Project Manager will lead the development and application of a racial equity framework that includes tools and resources to anchor and embed equity across all internal and client-funded projects. Current client projects include: strategic planning; organizational development; hiring and onboarding; community engagement; and communications.In addition, the DEIB Project Manager will lead complex DEIB-specific projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
·Assist in the development, implementation, evaluation, and management of DEI learning and development strategies, programs, and initiatives.
·Support multiple large and complex projects simultaneously.
·Consult with stakeholders on the development and implementation of an equity lens, DEI learning roadmaps, professional development, and/or support for clients and employees.
·Develop and support DEI communication with external and internal stakeholders.
·Develop and administer assessment tools to evaluate and measure DEI programs’ impact.
·Research and provide expertise on best practices and leading methodologies related to DEI.

·Thrives as a project manager, bringing multiple approaches and strategies to support the team in keeping projects on track, accountable and within budget.
·Experienced in building project teams, developing project scopes of work, estimating workload/ project hours based on deliverables and client needs.
·Commitment to continuous personal and professional growth and improvement.
·Succeeds in a dynamic, diverse and rapidly evolving work environment.
Knowledge and Skills
·Knowledge of social determinants of health and the ability to apply the principals of health equity, particularly racial equity, in all aspects of project management, planning and implementation.
·Strong foundational knowledge of DEIB and intersectionality with other oppressions.
·Ability to promote and advocate for equity within the team and to clients.
·Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills and experience presenting to varied audiences.
·Experience developing and implementing work plans, project/program tracking tools and supporting systems change.
·Experience developing templates, tools, and training around project management tools and/or software.
·Possess strong mentorship and training skills that encourage team members to lead in their respective roles.
·A clear understanding of and commitment to health equity, diversity and addressing social determinants of health, including systems of oppression.
Minimum Qualifications
·7+ years of project management experience.
·3-5 years of DEIB development and implementation.
·At least 2 years of experience working as a lead project/program manager or similar position.
·Coursework and/or certifications relating to DEI; high-level familiarity with project/program management.
