About The Opportunity

JOB SUMMARY

The Director for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), has primary responsibility for Khoury College’s diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility & belonging (DEIAB) action plan and initiatives throughout the college. This position will report to the Associate Dean of Administration & Finance and will partner with the Dean and senior leadership team to set and implement the strategic vision for Khoury’s efforts in this area. They will actively engage with the students, faculty, staff, and administration to promote a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment for all members of the Khoury community.

The Director will become a key part of a growing network of DEI Leads across Northeastern’s global university system that works collaboratively to create a welcoming and inclusive institution where individuals of all identities, backgrounds, and experiences can thrive, have a strong sense of belonging, and achieve academic and professional success. Led by the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI) and the Chief Inclusion Office, Northeastern is building on an inclusive strategy and culture built on trust, respect, and understanding that affirms intergroup relations and builds community, which is vital to learning and discovery. To fulfill these ideals, we launched an action plan to address the scourge of systemic racism—especially anti-Black discrimination—and advance our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of progress with respect to goals related to diversity, equity, and inclusion within Khoury. DEI is inherent in Khoury’s mission of “CS for everyone” and has strong commitment across the community. This role will serve as a conductor, helping guide and inform the Khoury committees and stakeholders who help drive and own the DEI goals.
