In this instrumental role, you will be responsible for supporting the execution and management of all DEIB strategic initiatives.
Role Responsibilities
  • Drive DEI operational model efficiencies throughout the organization by executing processes to support Employee Resource Group (ERG) programs and global communications.
  • Manage onsite activities for interns and apprentices.
  • Develop and maintain ERG success metrics that include attendees, evaluation, and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate stakeholders to have successful program implementation.
  • Provide program management support to global DEIB councils.
  • Develop and monitor program KPI reporting, e.g., conversion rate, turnover, performance, promotions, etc.
  • Create and execute a global Early Careers program to build entry-level talent pipelines in all regions.
  • Manage DEIB mailbox and communications, such as sending event invitations, and providing support for external speakers and partnerships.
  • Manage U.S. program, including program design, and school partnerships, and provide guidance to hiring managers, HR, and recruiter(s).
  • Support internal promotions and execution of global ERG activities.
  • Development of the program and align it strategically with overall DEIB and Talent Strategy.
  • Create and monitor the program budget.
  • Partner with internal communications to amplify DEIB activities and increase employee awareness, which includes managing internal blog posts, and oversight of ERG websites.
  • Partner with employment branding to develop and maintain external communications that include external websites, college recruiting job adverts, social media campaigns, collaterals for job fairs, etc.
  • Increase retention rates by providing new hire support (12-18 months), through mentorship and guidance for full-time entry-level talent hires.
  • Develop a global governance model to ensure a consistent strategic approach to attract and retain early career talent and provide support to local DIRs to drive local programs.
  • Direct management for the Early Careers program in the U.S., including program design, school partnerships, recruiting top students, and guiding the intern experience.
Role Requirements
  • Excellent Excel skills, capable of creating charts, graphs, and basic formulas.
  • Manage calendar of events, and a forward-thinking mindset to anticipate needs and action items.
  • Experience with managing Outlook mailbox, and DEIB communications mailbox.
  • Advanced communication skills, writing blogs, intranet, working with branding team, social media skills, and multiple stakeholders throughout Western Union.
  • Education or equivalent skills are required, with a project management mindset - 5 years of experience working in DEIB initiatives and coordinating event communications.
  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to take data and turn it into a resonating story.

Salary
The salary range is $86,700.00 - $120,000.00 USD per year, total on target compensation includes a base salary and short-term and long-term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates’ qualifications, skills, and competencies.
