What You Will Do:
The Director of Success Program Operations is responsible for ensuring that the core Success program in each region is delivered with model fidelity, resulting in consistently high student outcomes. This position must have a long-term view of the Success program and understand every component required to deliver a quality program. The Director of Success Program Operations will work directly with regional program directors to provide ongoing training and support to ensure that program goals are met and that any related challenges are surfaced, explored, and prioritized for resolution. This position requires someone able to lead via influence, building buy-in and ensuring accountability to our program model.
Core Success Program Leadership (40%)
- Monitor trends in Success programmatic results, anticipate challenges and drive reflective discussions about results
- Facilitate regular before- and after-action reviews to evaluate results of key program milestones and processes (e.g. an assessment cycle, the summer transition process)
- Continuously assess progress towards program goals and milestones to determine if goals are on track
- Coordinate with national program design team and integrate changes to curriculum, training, change management efforts, and resources specific to Success program
- Assess and manage risks to program outcomes in a timely and proactive manner; engage in collaborative discussion relative to course correction
Data and Systems (25%)
- Serve as the product owner for the Success Advisor Dashboards and emerging tools related to Success program data management
- Troubleshoot the use of Success-facing technological tools and escalate large-scale issues to managing director of program operations and/or data team members
- Provide relevant updates to network dashboards in a timely manner; align sequencing of after-action reviews to the overall network team calendar
Processes, Protocols, and Documentation (20%)
- Collaborate with national program design team to document Success program pilots and provide support on how to integrate processes and tools into various pilot programs
- Using feedback from each region, oversee maintenance and modification of the summer assessment and summer transition processes and all related documentation and protocols
- Enhance programmatic excellence by maintaining codified timelines, processes, and resources needed to achieve goals, and assessing needs that could lead to improvements
- Communicate changes in materials and protocols with each region (and the broader network team, as appropriate) in a timely manner, and ensure that staff have access to necessary materials
- Collaborate with members of the national and regional program teams to ensure the program operations manual and Salesforce Knowledge Base remain up-to-date
Staff Management, Coaching, and Training (15%)
- Provide both technical and adaptive training in response to Bottom Line programmatic changes
- Identify regional needs and programmatic gaps and collaborate with the national program design team on solutions
- Facilitate monthly Success leadership calls to share upcoming deadlines and ensure program directors are on track for their teams to deliver on model
- Provide training and coaching for new Success program directors and managers; collaborate with the new site support team to provide onboarding to leadership in new regions
Work Schedule:
9:00 am to 5:00 pm with additional hours as needed
Expected Travel:
15% – Some travel to current (Massachusetts, NYC, Chicago, Ohio) and prospective sites

Required:
- Strong program planning, design and development, and implementation skills
- An eye for visualizing processes and making connections between the parts; ability to foresee potential impacts of one small operational change
- Demonstrated ability to leverage data systems, specifically Salesforce and PowerBI, to manage and analyze results
- Bachelor’s degree and work authorization
- A passion for, and a demonstrated commitment to, Bottom Line’s Mission, Vision, Core Values, and commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
- Ability to apply a change management lens to operational functions
- Ability to prioritize workload and functional department leadership effectively in a diverse, inclusive environment
- Excellent emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
- A minimum of 5-7 years of leadership and management experience in a nonprofit, government, or philanthropy, overseeing multiple programs or contracts ideally at an organization serving students from first-generation and low-income backgrounds
Preferred:
- An understanding of the education not-for-profit sector, including donor relations and management
- Experience working in iterative sprint cycles and Professional Scrum Product Owner certification
- At least two years of demonstrated effectiveness managing through layers
- Experience leading the Program or Service functions for a national multi-site non-profit organization
