POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Product Management is responsible for leading our Product Management team to maximize the position of Zego products in the Property Management marketplace. This position owns the Product Roadmap, including all of the data gathering, analysis, and strategic decision making to increase the effectiveness of existing products or to explore the viability of new products in adjacent markets. The Director will have a healthy appetite for digging into market dynamics, competitive information, industry trends, and emerging technologies. This position will work with Marketing, Sales, and Client Success to identify KPIs, target customer profiles, establish product positioning, and define Go-to-Market strategies. This position will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for the product offering, working with the sales channel and key clients/partners. This position will have interaction with business stakeholders, clients, prospects, and partners integral to Voice of Customer information gathering for product development. The Director of Product Management leads the Product Management team, including Product Managers and Product Owners.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Actively participates and/or leads discussions around acquisition targets, partners or adjacent markets.
- Provides thought leadership and a unifying product vision at Zego and industry events.
- Defines and drives product direction at all stages of the SDLC and PML, collaborating with Product and Engineering counterparts to develop new features and functionality.
- Exemplifies outstanding communication with all organizations within Zego, maintaining and growing our amazing culture with positive energy, personal accountability, and emphasis on teamwork.
- Manages Zego partner, vendor, and processor relationships to maximize the larger marketplace to our advantage through strategic and beneficial relationships.
- Makes analytical, data-driven, defensible decisions when evaluating Product P&Ls, crafting pricing and packaging strategies, establishing product positioning, and developing business cases.
- Owns the Voice of the Customer (VOC) to ensure timely, varied, and meaningful collection of customer and user feedback to continuously evolve and improve the product.
- Takes disparate data from sources close to Zego (i.e. clients, prospects, partners) along with research in current and adjacent markets to craft a compelling Product Vision.
- Establishes deep and trusting relationships with Engineering, Client Success, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Compliance, etc. to ensure that all stakeholders have a voice within the Product Management process.
- Manages, mentors, and continues to grow our team of Product Managers and Product Owners.
- Leads product line through data-driven prioritization of initiatives using close contact with the VOC, marketplace demands, and distillation of product KPIs into actionable efforts with measurable outcomes.
- Establishes a Solution Strategy with thoughtful, forward-thinking Product Vision themes and tactical, achievable Product Roadmap initiatives that include inflection points for client and market shifts.
Skills & Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience within the PropTech or Property Management industry preferred.
- Incredible soft skills, including demonstrated abilities in leadership, strategic/analytical thinking, multitasking, execution, communication, problem solving, influencing, and team collaboration.
- Ability to travel to customer and non-customer sites in North America (10%).
- Product Management certifications (i.e. CSPO, CSM, PMI-ACP, PMC I-IX) preferred.
- 5-7+ years software product management experience, 3-5+ leading PropTech technology preferred.
- Expertise in technology development (SDLC) processes, including Agile Software Development.
- BA/BS in Business, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 1-3+ years experience directly managing a product line (including cross-functional product team roles).
- A strong fit with Zego culture and values.
- Product Visionary with a strategic mindset who can also partner with others to execute the strategy.
The US base salary for this full-time position is $117,000-130,000 + bonus (if applicable) + equity (if applicable) + benefits. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
