Job Description

Athlete Foundry is looking for a sales professional to become our first Director of Sales for our B2B SaaS product, working directly with the CEO and playing a critical role in our go-to-market execution and growth strategy.The right candidate will be an out-of-the-box thinker who is comfortable building and executing in an early-stage start-up where agility is critical to success. The role will start as contract with mutually agreed upon monthly targets per revenue stream with an opportunity to move to full-time within the first 12-14 months.

What You'll Do

  • Manage a sales funnel through stages, achieving targets as defined by the CEO
  • Develop and execute outbound messaging, cadence, and strategy to open and cultivate sales conversations with prospects
  • Create and iteratively own the Sales Playbook
  • Have fun and be creative in how you approach and solve problems
  • Conduct introductory discovery calls and presentations by effectively communicating Athlete Foundry’s value proposition and how our solution creates value for all parts of the collegiate athletics ecosystem
  • Qualify and work opportunities from discovery through closed won/closed lost status
  • Maintain a healthy and quality database of accounts that can be used to better serve our customers
  • Own pipeline generation and forecasting responsibility for prospective brand sponsors and partners
  • Build relationships with and nurture senior prospect contacts
  • Identify and qualify quality account targets and work those into opportunities
  • Be part of a company that is disrupting and transforming youth athletics across America


What We’re Looking For

  • 1-3 years experience working in a sales role, SaaS experience preferred
  • Intelligent with an ability to learn quickly and use data effectively
  • An obsession with progressing your career
  • Experience in sales or sales development roles preferred, with demonstrable performance to targets
  • Former collegiate athlete and a deep understanding of the opportunities to transform this space
  • A passion for solving problems for customers and prospects
  • Fun, tenacious and energetic


Compensation

Contract (1099) commission only initially

  • 50% of all sales up to $100,000 rolling 12-month commission


Option to convert to full time in 12-14 months (we grow together)

  • Salary + bonus + equity
