Posting Summary


Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Director of Recruiting for Women’s Basketball. Under the direct supervision of the Head Coach, assist in the coordination of the Women’s Basketball Intercollegiate Athletics Program which provides the opportunity for female student-athletes to train and compete in a competitive, Division I women’s basketball environment while attending school to earn a college degree. Additional responsibility as the recruiting director to assist Women’s Basketball staff in all aspects of the recruiting process. The on/off court coaching duties will take effect July 1, 2023.


Among the key duties of this position are the following:


  • Serves as Ticket Office Liaison to manage and coordinate tickets for coaching staff guests, student-athlete guests, and high school teams’ attendance at home games.
  • Assists in analyzing video tape of an opponent to develop a detailed scouting report for the head coach and coaching staff.
  • Assists in developing, teaching and instructing the student-athletes in the proper basketball skills & techniques, during practice, competition & conditioning sessions.
  • Coordinates, creates content for, and manages all WBB social media sites.
  • Other special projects and events as assigned.
  • Additional recruiting functions including, but not limited to manages scouting service subscriptions, organizes and leads weekly recruiting meetings, monitors the recruiting coaches 65 recruiting days, and prepares summer recruiting information packets.
  • Coordinates all recruiting functions including, but not limited to the following: Monitor Transfer Portal, Coordinate all on campus visits (official and unofficial), Coordinate all off campus visits, including virtual visits, Organize writing lists (postal mail and digital format), Organize call lists, Review, organize and respond to incoming interest matters, Collect high school schedules, create/coordinate recruiting graphics and digital materials, and Organize/plan April, July, September recruiting calendars.
