Job Details


Govern all aspects of the Supply Chain function including supervision and coaching of department personnel


Builds partnerships with suppliers aimed at improving vendor performance


Responsible for managing relationship with offshore and onshore contract manufacturing sites


Search, locate and approve new vendors, wherever applicable, with support from Quality and Engineering


  • Update and maintain accurate standard costs & accurate vendor lead times
  • Record and approve daily time and attendance for purchasing personnel, as appropriate, per corporate policies
  • Maintain and continually improve supply chain procedures, documentation, and applicable records
  • Create, update, and maintain function policies and procedures in accordance with AS9000/ISO9000 requirements and corporate policies
  • Establish and realize cost reduction, supply chain improvement and vendor performance goals
  • Participate in internal and vendor audits
  • Quote, negotiate, and secure orders of materials to support production and other internal requirements


Submit supply chain function performance reports as requested by management and corporate


Work closely with Engineering Development team during development and NPI to assure timely purchase of materials for development


  • Read and understand mechanical, military and commercial specifications including aerospace related processing specs
  • MS Office, XA system or other ERP system
  • Procurement and negotiation skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field; 4-10 years related experience
  • Proven track record of people management and development
