Director Of Supply Chain, Hospitality

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Working closely with staff in the Hospitality and Operations Divisions, the Director of Procurement and Supply Chain will oversee core procurement responsibilities for SAMBAZON’s Hospitality Division and drive supply planning and execution of the Division’s retail supply chain. This includes procuring and managing suppliers, establishing purchasing policies and procedures, and overseeing the hospitality retail supply chain distribution plan for SAMBAZON. This position is also responsible for working closely with the Hospitality operations team for providing direct support on product sourcing negotiations, including deploying those products at existing and new hospitality retail locations.

Following are examples of key responsibilities and are not an exhaustive list of all duties or responsibilities that are required.

1. Plan, organize, direct and control activities related to procurement for SAMBAZON’s core business and retail hospitality business, Procurement responsibilities related to dry goods, packaging, ingredients, etc.
2. Organize and coordinate activities which involve delivery, transportation of dry goods, perishables, supplies, etc. for SAMBAZON’s retail and hospitality business.
3. Ensure and manage supplier approval process, review and analyze risk factors
4. Develop a system to evaluate vendor quotations that utilizes appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery and service
5. Design, implement, manage and monitor procurement & logistics reporting systems to meet company requirements
6. Recruit and maintain suppliers that provide high quality products and services at a better price while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct
7. Work with 3rd party agencies to support and drive distribution plans for Sambazon’s retail hospitality channel.
8. Identify any supply interruptions and drive solve for those by working with suppliers and third-party distributors to ensure continuity of supply
9. Participate in company management meetings to drive established objectives and partner cross-functionally
10. Ensure favorable costing that conforms to company established KPIs
11. Establish and prepare instructions regarding purchasing systems and distribution procedures
12. Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy

Requirements

At least 5 years of directly related experience.
