Director Of Procurement Jobs

DESCRIPTION

The Food and Beverage Procurement Director is responsible for the Management of Cost of Goods. This

includes Vendor Contract Management, Vendor Relations, Purchasing, Operational Training Initiatives,

and Inventory Management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 Accountable for sourcing potential suppliers, supplier management, and conducting

successful price negotiations for food, beverage, equipment, and other supplies for the

organization

 Partners with our compliance of supplier contracts, pricing agreements, supplier prices at

the distributor level, and onboarding documents

 Accountable for monitoring and forecasting seasonal and promotional movement of

products including clean-up strategy for obsolete inventory

 Responsible for sourcing and analyzing market reports and understanding commodity trends

as well as their impact on product costs

 Develop and manage an effective inventory management system

 Implement and maintain inventory management system throughout store-level

operations and integrate with all necessary corporate-level systems

 Lead and develop operational training initiatives that promote system adherence

and best practices.

 Knowledge of current industry trends, products, and pricing

QUALIFICATIONS

 3-5 years of overall food purchasing experience for multiple business units- may be

combined restaurant manager experience and purchasing experience above the

restaurant level.

 2+ years of responsibility for purchasing functions preferred

 Proven track record of cost control required

 Strong P&L experience and business acumen

 High proficiency with all Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
