Job Description
ACCOUNTABILITY
As the Director of People and Culture, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of the organization's human resources functions. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with leaders across the organization to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives, enhance employee engagement and retention, and promote a positive and energetic workplace culture. As the steward of our organization's most valuable asset, our people, you will play a critical role in driving the growth and success of our business.
As our people and culture professional, your main task is to champion the personal and professional success of our employees, while ensuring workplace safety and protecting against discriminatory practices and harassment. Through guidance, support, and resources you will be key in helping employees grow and develop in their careers, while also fostering a positive and supportive workplace culture. To achieve this, the successful candidate will need to develop a deep understanding of the organization's culture, departmental ethos, and beliefs.

What To Expect
Oversee the recruitment and onboarding and offboarding process, including sourcing candidates, conducting exit interviews, and negotiating offers.
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with the company's goals and values.
Provide guidance and support to managers on people-related issues, including coaching, feedback, and employee development.
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
Ensure accurate and timely submission of all payroll tax filings and payments.
Leverage technology to create a scalable system that anticipates and plans for the organization’s future workforce needs.
Create a safe workplace that includes recommendations that are taught in monthly workplace trainings.
Conduct training and development programs to improve employee skills, knowledge, education, and experience.

Administer employee benefits programs including, benefits, 401K, employee wellness, and compensation plans.
Lead and manage employee relations issues, such as conflicts and grievances.
Develop and manage employee engagement and retention programs to promote a positive workplace culture.
Manage compensation and benefits programs, and ensure pay and salary structures align with the markets we serve.
Foster a merit, fairness, and equality workplace environment that values and respects all employees.
Conduct research and analysis to identify HR trends and best practices to inform HR strategy and decision-making.
Create and maintains for various roles within the company, and post engaging and unique employment opportunities that reach various applicants within the markets we serve.
Coordinate performance management programs, including setting performance goals and conducting performance reviews.
Guide and advise the executive leadership team on current and upcoming compliance laws.

Company compliance, training and development, talent management, HR strategy and decision-making, and payroll oversight.

Hard Skills Education And Experience
SHRM-CP or PHR certification is required.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in HR, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Experience with HR technology and systems, HRIS, Microsoft office suite, and ATS systems.
A comprehensive understanding and application of relevant HR policies and procedures, employment laws and regulations, and industry best practices by state.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Lift, Carry, Push, and Pull up to 35 lbs.
TRAVEL: 15%+; including but not limited to company and property quarterly leadership meetings and client visits. Additional travel may be required based on market performance and growth opportunities.
LOCATION: Remote work, vehicle, and home office allowance allotted.
