Director Of New Store Openings

Position Summary:

The Director of New Store Openings (NSO) is responsible for overseeing the development and opening of all new shops for the Shipley Do-Nuts brand. They are a strategic thinker, a collaborative leader, and a technology expert with a deep cross-functional understanding of the restaurant industry and new unit growth. They will work closely with all departments involved in the NSO process to develop strategies that enhance efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability for our NSO processes to ensure high quality, on budget, and on time openings. This position will report to the Sr. Director of Franchise Sales & Development.

Responsibilities:

• Helms NSO process to ensure on-time and on-budget opening to ensure alignment with forecasted new unit development.
• Lead NSO as a leadership role for each opening.
• Lead franchisee and Shipley Do-Nuts cross-functional team through NSO process by setting goals and converting them into action.
• Ability to recognize patterns and/or problems and develop solutions cross-functionally.
• Partner and support franchisee in completing proper business forecasting/budgeting and planning including, but not limited to real estate selection, lease negotiations, sales requirements, staffing, marketing plans, etc. in partnership with cross-functional SMEs.
• Oversee operations transition for sustained operations which meet or exceed company standard.
• Analyzes all NSO processes, systems, communication, and recommends/implements improvements as needed.
• Facilitate communication between franchisee(s) and cross-functional department.

• Utilizes the newest trends in technology to support brand initiatives
• Excellent verbal, analytical, organizational, writing and presentation skills
• Ability to travel 50%, this position is based out of Houston, TX.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style
• 8+ years’ experience required in a high growth mode restaurant concept, with corresponding experience with new store openings in company and franchise locations
• Strong understanding of operations and new unit growth processes
