Store Designer Jobs

• Articulate and summarize the purpose of the overall design of a store and explain how the design contributes to the Smoothie King Vision.
• Work closely with the Design and Construction Team to coordinate materials and design elements into the design of Smoothie King Stores.
• Modify and refine designs to conform to existing conditions and Smoothie King Design standards.
• Must be able to comprehend how a Smoothie King store functions/flows and then be able to take that knowledge and design a store under varying footprint conditions using computer assisted design software.
• Monitor and guide Franchisees, Contractors, and Suppliers involved in the store design process to ensure projects meet Smoothie King standards and that project goals are met.
• Collaborate with the Director of Design to craft a resolution when the design must be altered from typical practices due to existing conditions.
• Position self as a resource and partner with Franchisees throughout the design and buildout of their stores.
• Contribute to Smoothie King’s annual goals to increase store count, brand awareness, and implementation of design standards.
• Evaluate the feasibility of design ideas from all parties involved in the design and construction process and implement the appropriate resolution to uphold best practice.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate openly and honestly.
• Promote the culture, values, and mission of Smoothie King.
• Preferred understanding and proficiency in using 3-D Rendering Exterior Design.
• Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects with accuracy.
• Exceptional customer service skills including tact and diplomacy with the ability to demonstrate a professional demeanor when interacting with all parties involved in the design process.
• Trustworthy and can be relied upon with sensitive situations from all parties involved in the Design and Construction of Smoothie King stores.
• Strong sense of urgency and a “can-do” attitude.
• Ability to build rapport while simultaneously holding everyone accountable to brand standards, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred understanding and proficiency in using SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite and Photoshop.

• Understanding and proficiency in using AutoCAD or REVIT, required.
• At least two (2) years’ experience working in a design-related role; experience in a Design Department for a Franchise Company or Architecture firm, preferred.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design, preferred.
• Possess the knowledge of standard building clearance codes and best practices.
• Personal passion for health and fitness is a plus.
