Summary:At Retro Fitness, “Get Real” is our promise of offering an honest, simple, non-intimidating approach to helping our community achieve their fitness goals. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you are responsible for all training and development throughout the franchise system, as well as corporate personnel. The Learning & Development Director will be instrumental in creating and enhancing existing trainings throughout all levels of the organization and will also partner with ADP Total Source regarding Human Resource practices and policies. The role will be a blend of L&D, HR, and Recruitment on average 75/15/10. You will design, implement, schedule, manage, and often facilitate, all field based and corporate training classes and practices; including but not limited to the onboarding of new franchisees, field leaders, and corporate staff. You will develop and grow the performance culture in the field, implementing best practices across the entire franchise system to drive franchisee engagement and satisfaction, as well as franchisee revenue and profitability. What you’ll do:
  • Responsible for maintaining and future development of our LMS (Learning Management Software)
  • Review and assess current training approaches to identify areas of development
  • Create career pathing objectives for roles throughout the organization
  • Coordinate and execute field training events to franchisees and field employees
  • Ensure the organization remains cutting edge in learning and development offerings
  • Design and implement employee development curriculum
  • Design, develop and implement ongoing management of Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Collaborate with Key Leaders and HR Partners to establish Learning & Development methodologies, processes, and tools
  • Design and deliver learning courses through various mediums
Education and Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in a Learning & Development Management role
  • Working knowledge of HR software and systems
  • Strong working knowledge of LMS offerings
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field strongly preferred
  • CHRM, SHRM or similar certification strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of creating and implementing training and development programs
