Director of Human Resources, Behavioral Health, Full-Time

The Director of Human Resources oversees all aspects of human resources for the behavioral health department at Medstar Washington Hospital Center. The Director will assist and support program leadership in recruitment, employee relations, compensation, and benefits for Signet Health employees.

Signet offers a competitive and generous compensation package with a salary range between $125,000 - $145,000.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Represents Signet Health, as needed, in unemployment hearings and other regulatory agencies, i.e., Joint Commission (Survey readiness is expected).
• Reports to the Chief Engagement Officer.
• Monitors and ensures the organizations compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices.
• Adheres and enforces Signet Health’s Human Resources policies and procedures.
• Manage human resources programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; occupational health and safety, etc.
• Completes onboarding of new employees.
• Provides instructions to managers on how to issue corrective actions, including maintaining equitable and systematic adherence throughout the process.
• Other duties as assigned, consistent with HR management.
• Promotes a confidential, safe, and secure environment for all employees to report grievances and complaints.
• Partner and collaborate with the Behavioral Health department leadership team.
• Working knowledge of payroll systems.
• Maintains and tracks employee training requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience working in healthcare or a healthcare related field, is preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years direct human resources management experience.
• Candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in human resources or another related field. A Master’s Degree is strongly preferred.
