Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Director of Human Resources to lead our aviation company's HR department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, and compliance with employment laws and regulations. This is a hybrid role in Columbus Ohio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement performance management programs that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures that are consistent with the company's values and culture.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Manage HR budgets and resources to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Collaborate with other senior leaders to develop and implement business strategies that support the company's growth and success.
  • Develop and implement compensation and benefits programs that are competitive and aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related issues.
  • Oversee the recruitment and selection process, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and hiring decisions.
  • Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances.
  • Develop and implement employee retention strategies to ensure a high-performing and engaged workforce.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations in the aviation industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • 15+ years of experience in human resources, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.
