An exclusive private club nestled in the serene and upscale surroundings of Naples, Florida, is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic professional to join their team as Director of Events. Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the Director of Food & Beverage and Director of Culinary to curate member experiences that complement the overall event concept and remain within budget.
• Attend major events personally to provide oversight and ensure exceptional quality and service.
• Utilize the club's POS system to streamline event operations and ensure accurate financial tracking.
• Stay informed about industry trends and developments by attending conferences, workshops, and meetings.
• Take ownership of creating comprehensive event budgets, meticulously tracking expenditures, and preparing post-event profit and loss statements (P&Ls).
• Respond promptly to calls from members, vendors, and the general public, providing exceptional customer service.
• Ensure timely post-event notifications on the club's website and newsletter, showcasing successful events and encouraging participation.
• Manage the end-to-end event planning and execution process, ensuring seamless experiences that exceed expectations.
• Present new event proposals that captivate and engage members, fostering a vibrant social calendar.
• Collaborate with members to understand their party and event planning needs, including menu creation, decor, and pricing considerations.
• Coordinate the seamless setup and execution of all functions, leaving no detail overlooked.
• Develop a strategic catering business plan, identifying growth opportunities and innovative strategies to enhance the club's offerings.
• Contribute to event marketing efforts by creating compelling collateral and actively promoting club events.
• Procure a diverse range of props, costumes, lighting, flowers, decorations, and entertainment to elevate the ambiance of each event.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience working in event planning and/or catering at high-end resorts, hotels, or upscale private clubs.
• Management experience with direct reports and outside vendors is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and standard industry software platforms.
• Private club experience is strongly preferred.
• Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality (strongly preferred).
