Position: Club Accountant

Reports to: Controller

Position Status: Full Time

Salary Range: $50,000-$60,000 annually

Summary: The Club Accountant provides accounting and clerical support for the daily operations ofthe finance department. Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting with accounts receivableand accounts payable processing, member billing, collections, HR and payroll. The AccountingAssistant works directly with the Controller/HR Manager to provide exemplary service withintegrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field, and a desireto learn club accounting. This is an entry to mid-level position with opportunities for careeradvancement.

Salary is dependent upon experience within the range listed above.

Job Responsibilities:

•Generate and distribute monthly member statements.

•Promptly respond to billing inquiries, providing a timely resolution to discrepancies.

•Accurately process member payments from multiple sources.

•Generate AR aging reports and manage all phases of the collection process.

•Assist with accounts payable functions.

•Create and update excel spreadsheets with attention to detail.

•Calculate and remit monthly sales tax.

•Assist Controller/HR Manager with recruiting and onboarding.

•Update employee and vendor files.

•Assist with annual audit.

•Perform other duties as assigned by the Controller.

Minimum Skill Requirements and Background:

•Desire and willingness to learn and work in a team-oriented environment.

•Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner.

•Working knowledge of basic accounting policies and procedures.

•Proficient in Microsoft Office.

•Excellent organizational and analytical skills

•Strong attention to detail and accuracy is imperative.

•Ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal correspondence.
