What You Will Work On

As Director of Education, you will manage all of FOREFRONT’s education initiatives. You will lead FOREFRONT’s internal education team, and serve as the Director of FOREFRONT International School. You will ensure the continued success of current education initiatives, and create and implement new ones. Your role includes:

• Building and maintaining a healthy rapport with the India and US Team Leads
• Solving problems and bringing innovative ideas for community impact
• Reporting to our Chief Programs Officer
• Presenting education initiatives to current and potential donors
• Creating and guiding administrative and teaching staff with monthly professional development
• Creating and monitoring school project management timelines
• Fostering and maintaining school vision, culture (i.e. staff, student, and family expectations), and governance
• Collaborating with the School Principal to create yearly budgets and financial projections
• Managing the hiring and onboarding process of school administrative and teaching staff
• Collaborating with the India/US Education Team to develop school-wide and classroom management systems

What You Bring

• Prior international travel and/or non-profit experience is a plus
• Mission-driven individual with patience and straightforwardness
• Bachelors or Masters in education and/or business administration
• Leadership and coaching experience
• Mastery of Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Asana Project Management
• Strong research, analytical, presentation, and writing skills

Our Expectations

• This is a volunteer position with a commitment of 6-8 hours per week.
• You must reside in the NY/NJ or DMV metropolitan regions. Work is done remotely on a week to week basis, but regional in-person team events occur every quarter.
• You are required to attend virtual monthly meetings on the second Saturday in the mornings, and all-day (9am-5pm) in-person quarterly meetings in the NY/NJ or DMV metropolitan regions, as well as an annual one-week trip to India.
